Anne Waldman

Good Witch
By: Joanna Penn Cooper
At the Dodge Festival a little over ten years ago, my grad school boyfriend (now a somewhat “known” poet) turns to me amused, admiring, and says, “Wait until you see Anne Waldman.  You’re not going to know what to do.  She’s a witch.”

Joanna Penn Cooper’second chapbook of poetry and short prose pieces, Mesmer, was published in April 2010 by Dancing Girl Press, and her full-length poetry collection, How We Mostly Were, was a finalist for the Kinereth Gensler Award from Alice James Books in December 2010.
